We're excited to announce that we recently were awarded a grant from the State of Idaho EMS Bureau for a new ambulance.
We recently added this website in an effort to provide you with information about us. Whatever it is you're looking for, you should be able to locate it on this web site. We will be adding new information all the time so if there is something you are looking for and cannot find it send us a note and we will see if we can get it added.
In the near future our goal is to help you find the training you need to stay current and help a loved one in trouble, by learning CPR or first aid. Shoshone County EMS will keep a list of instructors that are qualified to teach CPR and First Aid class so that we can put you in touch with someone that can provide you with the training you want or need. Keep checking back.
In addition to our emergency response ambulances, we have the ability to staff two additional ambulances by calling in off duty personnel and volunteers to help with emergent calls and provide the non emergent transports services from Shoshone Medical Center to other Hospitals and nursing homes as needed.
Shoshone County EMS Corporation staffs 2 ambulances 24 hours a day seven days a week to respond to emergency calls in Shoshone and Kootenai Counties from 4th of July Pass to Lookout Pass. At this time the ambulance staffing includes two EMTs and at least one of them is certified at the advanced level.
